b16 timing belt teeth count
So i was doing my timing belt, everything set at TDC during removal of old belt, everything lined up putting on my new belt, cranked the motor 1 rotation, lined up the cam gears, and noticed my crank TDC was off a tooth, so i took off new belt and counted teeth, apparently the 99-00 civic si has 125 teeth, and my old belt has 124, its a jdm b16, DO i need the p30 instead of the P2T? can the teeth count be confirmed?

Re: (IslandSi)
nope, i tried to reduce the slack as much as i could but it would just flap, it sounded horrible, like really loud valve tick, i put my old one back on and its so quiet..that extra tooth makes a big difference...
My 124toothed belt is stamped (124RU26), and the 125tooth i was sent is stamped (12418H).....but it says p2t on the plastic bag it came in. Does anyone know what the 12418H is?

Re: (schlit)
im using the b16a waterpump, i found my problem i believe, i think my crank moved a tooth when installing the belt, but didnt notice it till after i took the belt back off, so im gonna redo the timing belt for the 3rd time and see what happens, woohoo! will keep an update..
