B16 tick? LMA's? I'm an idiot?
I know i'm a n00b and this has probably been brought up a million times. But I bought a freshly built low comp b16 that just recently developed a slight ticking/ish sound between about 2-3k rpms. It doesn't sound like a rod. It sounds exactly like a ticking. I've also thought it could be the LMA's since they were the only parts not replaced during the rebuild. Any suggestions? The previous owner said the valves were leashed prior to the motors' maiden run. Maybe it's time to do it again? There's about 3000 miles on it since the rebuild as well, so its fairly broken in. Thanks for all the help!!!

it sounds like a valve tap...i have a feeling whoever did the last job didnt torque them to the right specs because they shouldnt have come out of an adjustment after only 3000 miles (unless you redline it all the time and bang it off the rev limiter)

No I definitely don't push the car hard at all. I don't go about 3k rpms if I can help it. I don't believe the previous owner did either, but who knows. I'll try and adjust the valves again. .006-.007 and .007-.008 correct? Hopefully this will solve the problem....
