B16-T or LS-T
THey are both pretty much the same amount of $$, actually the b16 is like $100 more according to HMO. Which would you choose? Both completely stock. ($3500 spending limit including complete swap)

I havent rode in a b16 turbo yet. A ls turbo is fun car. Im sure both would be fun. A vtec car is a little more time tuning. I dont know if that matters to you or not. I spent a few hours more tuning my na gsr than we did doing a street tune on a turbo ls. Maybe that will help a little?

completly stock with boost - LS,it has lower compression
but in the long run the b16 would prolly b better. i had both an ls and a b16 in my rex and i loved the b16 way more. Torque is nice but VTEC is even nicer.

B16 tranny is more geared toward acceleration. IMO the ls tranny is better for comfortable street driving. ls has lower compression (9.4). 1.8L > 1.6L. A boosted ls in a hatch would be an absolute blast to drive. Then again, so would a boosted b16. I would go ls though.

Re: B16-T or LS-T (litterbox)
Buy the B16 swap. You'll get the nice tranny, nice head, ecu etc.
Then when you get the money, buy an extra LS block. Swap that sh*t in.
Instead of doing the opposite which is what most of us LS guys do.
edit- I would take the b16 head for the top-end-power.... but who the hell cares about vtec when you have a turbo?!!

anything with more displacement with give you more for your buck...go for the LS
But then it will cost you more time and money...gettting the LS to run best at the track. Such as a better tranny, converted to LS/VTEC...etc...so on.

lst>>>>>> b16t
TQ = fun
TQ = fast
lower reving = more reliable
longer trany = better on gas
who cares if its not geard for acceleration, when you spin the tires thu the first 3 gears, gear ratio tends to not matter any more
