Default b16 swap problems

ok i got a 95 del sol si i swapped a 99-00 civic si b16 into it which is obd2 the into the del sol. the problem is im not getting spark when my msd is hooked up or stock dist. but when the guy doing it for me puts on his oem 2000 civic si dist. which is converted to msd it will start but run like crap such as miss real bad. so i put a gsr ecu in it same thing just ran a little better but not to much. He said i need the p30 ecu which came in the del sol v tech model which is dohc and even if i have my oem b16 dist. which i bought hooked up it start and run perfectly. does that sound right to anybody or if anybody has any suggestions please help me cuz this is the only thing holding me back. the motor is a b16a if that matters

So what are you doing about wiring, going to obd1 or trying to stay obd2?
