B16 swap EG8 broke down on highway.
I just swapped the engine with brand new clutch, axles, motor oil, distributor, and spark plugs. Runs fine.
But when I was driving home from the highway late at night, it broke down. I was just cruising at about 65 when I heard a huge clunk and the engine shuts off. All the lights come on and I have to pull onto the shoulder. Open the hood, there isn't any smoke or anything. Timing belt is still on.
Really confused at this point. I sit back in my car and turn it. Turns fine and starts for a little. Try and put it into gear but then the car dies and won't start. I'm getting it towed in the morning but I have no idea whats going on. Did a bunch of searches and came up empty.
