Default b16 sol help???

Ok so I have a 1997 del sol with the b16a2, si trans with a kaaz lsd and a p30ecu (which I plan on swapping with a p2t ecu I have) I'm lookin for advice on what I should do to build it up, whether it be aall motor or turbo. I'm lookin for more of a budget build and around 300 to 350 hp.....any help or advice would be helpful. Ie wat setup to go with that would be cheaper, what I can use to tune cheap etc.......thanks for lookin and helping

their is no such thing as a cheap build and not have issues down the road, and if your gonna keep the b16 block then all motor b16's have only been able to push around 220hp all motor which is still pretty fast its like running 12's you could boost it on stock motor and run the same power maby a litt more and run mid 12's you just have to decide what your wanting to build it for

I know there is no such thing as a cheap build especially for a b series, but I am lookin more towards turbo to hit the 300-350 mark, I want the edelbrock performer x kit but 4000-5000 for a kit is a lil pricey so I guess I'm lookin more cheaper then that kit. I'm trying to steer clear of ebay kits because I heardecu is they just plain suck like the ss autochrome kits which are cheap.... and also do you know if the p2t ecu is good, cuz I was readin a thread on it n ppl were sayin stay away from it. I plan on hookin up the p2t ecu and throwing some gsr cams in it which my buddy was sayin would do nicely in my car?

haha i was just saying....it doesnt make sense to use cheap quality parts except for if you want a cheap quality car..thats what i meant by "ebay tune" sorry for the confusion. i kinda just blurted it out to group them in a cheap quality talk. just dont read that part unless u want to laugh at it....

stock internals, 750 cc injectors, u can even run 440s, walbro fuel pump, some kind of engine managment thats load dependant, peakboost turbo kit, aem coil over plug set up with the epm, or some kind of COP setup and a professional tune should do it.... i suggest staying under 10 psi with this setup and i gaurantee you at least 300 hp. the cost is alittle over 4000 though but this is what i can come up with from the top of my head...hope that helps..

your not gonna run 300-350 on a stock b16 and even if you did tha block isnt gonna last long, your gonna have to swap pistons and rods so they can handle the amout of boost and your vt wont hold up for very long untill they fail, like i said your gonna have to build this motor to hit those numbers

ok, there is alot of misinformation in here so i will post....

Alright for 300-325 whp is completely fine for a b16 stock....it wont blow anything up, just goto a reputable tuner.

All Motor, is going to be more expensive, but yes...more reliable....but nothing lasts forever.

I personally day you can go with a cheaper turbo kit, spend under 3k easily and run your numbers.

Heck if you spend your time researching you could hit that 300whp # easily for under 1500. I have done it personally for under 900...but that was a years worth of time of shopping around and finding cheap used QUALITY parts, and jumping on them.

If you wanna just simply go a lil faster, you could always buy a used B series greddy kit for 800-1200 depending.....get some lucas 440's....you wont need anything bigger for a stock setup....and them grab a walbro 255 fuel pump....and get your car tuned...300whp for about 2k, but please...please please....do your research, just read and read and read through the FI forum section and get info. It seems you dont have to much education in the aftermarket part of vehicles. reading and researching will save you thousands....and hopefully alot of headaches...

thanks quik sol....ive been doin research and heard that 300-350 hp on a stock motor is do-able with the right tune. and i do have some modification knowledge but not so much with turbo's.... i can find and probably peice together a nice turbo kit but the main thing that will stump me would be the tuning, whether what to use for tuning and then finding somewhere good in my area to tune that wont cost more then the turbo kit...i can call on my buddies for help but they are all single cam guys. one has a jackson charger single cam on a 91 hatch n the other has a single cam sol that we just swapped a new motor n and are gettin ready to turbo soon....but my main thing is ...single cam seems to be way cheaper lol

best thing to do is search your area for tuners....there is the tuner directory sticky in the Forced Induction section....talk to the tuner, tell him your setup...then talk to him about which tuning software would be best....

easy....you save tons of money on fabricating...save yourself 200 dollars, buy a U Bend from Summit for 20 bucks...buy a flange for 10-15....cut, weld...done...under 50 bucks and ya have a downpipe....

spend 80 bucks on U bends, make all your intercooler piping...tada saved 150-200 bucks....

buy good used parts...will save you tons....and tuning software isnt expensive, use uberdata, save yourself money there, then tuning will only cost ya a couple hundred...and tada
