b16 smoking problem
ive noticed these past days my car has been smoking at high rpm's....any help on what this can be?...the car is still running strong..... any help? i checked my ecu and its throwing CEL 9 (cylinder position sensor)

if im thinking right... the cps is in the dizzy... its been a long day so i might have that wrong... but my b16 smokes at high rpms... i dont worry.. its black smoke.. running a lil rich.. no worries... its a vtec car... its going to smoke at high rpms.. some ppl dont notice it... but as for ur cel ... the cylinder pos. sensor should be in the dizzy... and u might need to replace it...

The cyl position sensor is in the distributor, you may need a replacement.
Try a vacuum gauge and compression gauge. With a good shop manual these tools can usually help you figure out if you have valve seal, head gasket, and piston ring problems.

replace the dizzy just went through this my self. and as for the smoke VTEC cars run a little rich at full throttle
