B16 Rough Idling
I have a B16 Turbo setup and I just changed the head gasket, water pump, timing belt, spark plugs and thermostat. At first the car was idling low and it would die after I hit the throttle and let it go right away but if I hit the throttle and let it go slowing it wouldn't die. Now it idles fine if the car is just sitting there, but if I were to drive it and throttle it anywhere under 2000 rpm it would idle rough. I also unplug the tps sensor when the car was running and it still idles rough but not as bad as it would if I were to plug it back in. I figure it would be one of my sensors like the map or tps sensor on the throttle body but I don't know how to check to see if it's bad. But I could be wrong. Does anybody know how to check to see if the map or tps sensor is bad or not or if something else could be causing it to idle rough? And my check engine light is now on after putting everything back together. Before it would come on once in awhile and when it comes on it idles rough but if I turn off the car and start it up again it the check engine light would turn off and the idling goes back to normal. I brought my car to shop to find out what codes the cel is throwing but they told me that it kept saying error and they tried like 4 or 5 times.
