I'm Running a p28 on my b16 without a tune and its just fine, But a tune is recommended.
and when you do cam gears, shafts, etc, its also good just to be on the safe side.

How do you know you are fine? Are you running a wide band? Is this a straight P28 or a chipped P28 with generic basemap?

Yeah, the benefit is your air fuel ratio will be dead on and you won't lean out causing the over expansion of your pistons scoring up your cylinders.

Skip the cam gears unless you want feel the need to put money in the retailers register.

If you chose to tune what engine management are you going with?

yes a tune is definently worth it chrome is a decent problem and probably your best bet with your current setup dont get the cam gears unless your planning on swapping in some better cams look into some gsr's there cheap and will add as much hp as some other bolt ons

Have you dyno'd it yet? I would at least dyno and see what kind of numbers you are running. Try and get on a group day, 2-3 pulls shouldn't cost you to much.

if you already have a chipped ecu then you should at least get a b16 map. you dont have to get a full tune, just have one of the tuners on this site burn you a chip. should be $30 max

A base map really doesnt mean much, your air fuel can still be off.

A chiped and tuned p28 is deffinetly worth it, the only way to get the true power is to be tuned.
