B16 Nightmare problems, tried everything!

Default B16 Nightmare problems, tried everything!

sup honda0tech, i wanted to know if anyone has any other solutions to fixing a bad idle
so far ive done the following:

-Cleaned the iacv
-Cleanded the ficv
-Checked tps sensor
-Put a different chip in the ecu (p28) caused the idle to raise to 1500. with the idle screw adjusted all the way



any helpppppp please

If its to high or to low try loosening the dizzy n tipping it forward or backward. Might help. If it helps a little but not enough then you might need to check the timing to see if its off.

its drops and acts as if it wants to shut off and at times do shut off

Does the idle speed change if you unplug the IACV?

Any CEL codes?

Is the PCV valve or hose clogged?

my buddy had the same prob wit his gsr he was messin wit it one day and found that a vacum hose was in the wrong place..

I would try what they both said because there easier, but would still check the timing and the gap on the plugs. Remember cheap plugs are never pre-gapped

Did you try covering the holes inside the TB with your finger?

yes and the car shut off when i unplugged it, ive been meaning to try on another iacv but dont have one lying around.

check engine light comes on when ignition is turned and then turns off,

Try changing the trottle body gasket might have a small crack and would cause engine to rev up and Down cause it's getting extra air
