B16 N/A V.S. B18 N/A (Forza mistake?)
Ok so here's my problem. I have an EG hatch. I want to drop the single most powerful N/A B-series motor into it that I can. I obviously go with the old adage that "there is no replacement for displacement". This theory adds up as far as my limited knowledge of the physics of an internal combustion engine go. Sure rpm's count too, but I'm not worried with that, seeing as a built N/A B-series of any kind can reach 9K. My confusion began when while playing Forza Motorsports, I put a fully built N/A B16B in one EG and a fully built B18C5 in the other. The B16 made more power. Can anyone give me any theories or answers? As far as I know the game has a malfunction, lol. Does the B16 make more power than the B18 when fully built for N/A?

Honestly I would have to say that the game is give false information b/c essentially the B16B and B18C5 are the same engine, just a different stroke if I'm correct.

I'm aware that it's a video game, but it just made me curious if there was something big I was missing.

Sweet potatos are suppose to be SWEET! They put salt on the fries which I think isn't a good ideal. Maybe a sweet diping sause??

we answered your question.
A video game is not a reliable source to attain automotive knowledge from. I have seen a stock bottom end C5 pull 217 and I have NEVER seen a stock bottom end B16 of any sort a or b pull higher than 190. With the 1.8l having the higher torque numbers of coarse.

Re: B16 N/A V.S. B18 N/A (Paprika)
I actually made them with Yams. Nothing wrong with eating something that is healthier than a regular fry and it tastes a **** load better! No sauce needed for dipping, just bake/broil and call it a day.
Last time I checked, there's nothing wrong with something being sweet and salty at the same time.
To the OP: the reason we began discussing dinner and cooking is because your thread is ******* retarded.

that is almost sig-worthy.
the game is made by retards apparently. built b16s push somewhere in the neighborhood of 200whp depending on the dyno, conditions and build. there are a good many threads over in allmotor with b18's in the 250 range.

Re: B16 N/A V.S. B18 N/A (starwin21)
Well, the basis of your question can be summarized as:
"Which motor has more potential?"
Now, in that light, your own question is rather 'unintelligent'. There have been so many threads about this. Do a search.
Chances are you or the average person out there isn't going to have enough money to bring either motor to it's full scientific, mechanical potential. You and other people may take it to extreme extremes, but full potential (as in; no room for improvement whatsoever)...no.
So unfortunately, there's not a definitive answer to your question.
Build either one you want, with enough money and know-how, you can push similar hp/tq figures out of each motor.
EDIT:
I had a double-double cheeseburger with onions, fries, and a large coke for dinner tonight. It was great. Also...cheese-paper.

yeah if you stroked the b16 to a 1.8 or greater. Displacement is Displacement, more air and fuel more power, plan and simple. Other than boost or nos.
P.s.-Ohama Steak pork chop with rice a roni a college treat!!

stroke a c5 to 2.0 and youll be almost unstopable.

Re: B16 N/A V.S. B18 N/A (starwin21)
Well you did say it was a video game but here goes...I'm going to get flamed for this...lol
You built yourself a b18c5 how many HP did it make compared to the b16b? If it had about the same torque and just a few more HP on the b16b then you probably stroked the b16b to a 1.8L and with the ctr pistons you have about 1.3-1.5 compression ratio more than the b18c5 that would explain you increase HP over the b18c5.
By the way I had ravioli and garlic bread from Strings restruant tonight.
