B16 long block....what else am I going to need??
I have a chance at a stock b16a1 longblock in good shape for around $400. First off, I dunno if that is too much for it. I think it has about 70k. I'll be putting it in my 98ex, and taking out my y8. I know I'll need a tranny, but what else am I going to need? What ecu do I need? Will my header fit or will I need a different one? I'm just trying to figure out what else I need so I can estimate a total cost. Sorry for my limited knowledge once again...

I wouldn't put a gen 1 in a 98 civic...
Save your doe and just buy a full swap... it'll save you alot of trouble and be alot more reliable I think.
you can get a swap for around 22-2400 bucks
