B16 into DC2 questions (exhaust)
***This is also crossposted in the Teg forum. I know this isn't exactly EG+, but this is one of the most active forums and I am hoping one of you knowledgable members can clear this up for me as I need to get this car on the road***
My original post:
----------------------------------------
I know it isn't the ideal setup, but for financial reasons I'll be putting the 2g JDM B16a from my totaled civic into a 94 GSR shell. Before I start wrenching, I had a quick question...
I searched, but didn't come up with much (for obvious reasons).
-The shell came w/o exhaust. Will all of the 94+ teg exhuasts bolt right up to the B16 header? It seems many manufacturers have different part #s for GSR and ITR exhausts. Is this because of hanger locations, header locations, piping diameters or none-of-the-above?
Please refrain from flaming. I know DCs aren't the lightest, and I know my B16 is a torqueless beast...
TIA to anyone that can give me a lil insight.
----------------------------------------
Someone told me the GSR b pipe was longer, hence the different part #s. What I really want to know at this point is whether or not an ITR cat-back will bolt up.
Again, thanks.
