which b16 head to use
i got a 92 dx hatch, and got a 1st gen b16 block. right now the block is in the shop being honed, but i aint got a head for it yet. i was told that i need the head off of the sir 2 from japan or the 94-95 b16 del sol. been looking around for a while but either i cant find any of those heads or those that said that have the head never came through. So my question is am i able to use the b16A2 head off of the 99-00 SI, or will i run into problems if i do that? Let me know whats the best thing that i should do.

from what I understand...you could use any B series head...b18c5, 16a, c1, etc...do not know off head though if same for 1st gen b16, but it should be, I'll just be a sign of hope while someone with the experience can help!!

From my experience all the b16 head are basically the same except for the gsr head. The type r head is just a better flowing b16 head, so I think any b16 head, or b18c head will work.

you may use any B series head you want. beware that using a different head aside from the b16 head will raise your compression. a GSR head on that block is niiice because you can rev to 8k and you get the more aggressive GSR cams.

Re: which b16 head to use (Zit)
My last questions on this topic would be:
so that means that i dont need an SIR 2 head or 94-95 delsol head? so one from a 99-00 SI will work?
