b16 head noise, already replaced lma's
Hey everyone I'm just replaced all my lma's as I thought that was the problem. All of the lmas where bad but now I have a loud ticking noise coming from the valve cover like something is trying to knock its way out, it gets faster with the rpms. I've pulled the spark plugs one at a time to see which cylinder it is coming from but it doesn't seem to have any effect. Any ideas? I'm getting my valves adjusted here in a few. Just wondering if anyone has some suggestions? What damage could having bad lmas cause?

Re: b16 head noise, already replaced lma's
When i start my b16a2 from cold it sounds like a diesel car
Did valve adjustment back to spec and was a tiny bit quieter but now 2 months down the line it sounds just the same, apart from at high rpm (even from 3000rpm and up) the engine sounds very "metal on metal" zzzzzz noise, when accelerating or decelerating (not clicky like the original poster)
There is plenty of oil in so not starved of oil, i dont think anyway ?

when i had my b16 i had a pretty loud injector tick. i had thought it was the valves and got them adjusted but then realized it was just the injectors, and from what i've been told its normal for a b16's stock injectors to tick kinda loud
