Default b16 halfshaft...does it matter if it's hydro or cable?

hey guys I am putting in a 2000 Si(SiR) b16 Transmission into my coupe and I am wondering if there is a difference between the half shaft(intermediate shaft) between the cable b16 tranny and hydro b16 trannys

BTW: searched but I couldn't find anything on this topic

there different...the half shaft on the cable b16's are a female...(the shaft on the axle u put into the intermediate shaft ) the intermediate shaft on the hydro's is a male....that u put that shaft into the hole in the axle..

Female/male. If you want to make that work you need B17A (92-93 GSR) axles.

what are you refering to with that?

Meaning that the intermeditate/half shaft has a female side and a male side. Male side goes into the transmission and the female is at the end of the intermeditate.

I'll try this...my buddie had a direct b18a swap in his car with the integra cable transmission.
when I'll do my swap I'll pull out his halfshaft and axles and see if they will work on my car

so far I've heard integra 90-93 intermediate shaft works on this but then you need to get 90-93 integra axles

He may be right here. We got lucky and got an XSi B16, so it had the same axle setup as the 93 GSR. I know because we had to switch axles to put it together.
