B16 Died!
Heres the thing, I have a 96EK coupe with a b16 swap and a couple mods on it. It was working fine after the swap even got a chance to race a couple of peple... took a Mustang GT like nothing and kept up with a Z28, didn't have any spray at the time though. Well after about a month or two, I was driving down the highway at normal speeds between 65-70mph when my car died; turned it back on but it would cut off past 5000rpm. Did this for a while then it wouldn't turn on anymore. I took it to a local shop...but they specialize in V8's, there is no shop here that works on imports . The guys there told me it was the ECU, I took them one of a 99-00 Si, worked for about 2 days, and it won't start anymore...again!!! Any idea what might be wrong???What ECU do I need, Engine is OBDI....

Re: B16 Died! (dohcVTECeg2)
the 99-00 civic is OBD2. You need the ECU from a del sol VTEC, that one is OBD1. I think its a P28? But thats the one u need cause the del sol with the B16 is OBD1

Re: B16 Died! (deadend9009)
thanks for the link, though i think i might be able to get a hold of one locally, for a lot less... so there is a possibility that it can be the ecu, i know the first one was an obdI... I didn't check the fuses cause I figured if it were a fuse there wouldn't be any spark in the starter, i'll check the ground though
thanks
thanks
