Default B16 and D16 series fuel pumps

are B16 and D16 series fuel pumps different? i checked from my local honda dealer and they told me part numbers are different..the prices are different. D series fuel pump goes about $160 a piece and B16A goes about $260 a piece.
anyone knows for detail?i have heard d series fuel pump has 160 LPH pressure and b16a has 190 LPH ..but need someone to confirm this please
and when you guys do the b series engine and tranny swap (no boost,).do u swap the fuel pumps too?
i have both of them and plan to do the fuel pump swap by this weekend
thanks in advance

The D series pump should be good enough,
but if you add a turbo or build a crazy NA engine
then you need to swap your pump.
I have my stock pump in my car and have never
had a problem.

I love when people give advice and dont answer the question!! I have heard that the non-vtec fuel pumps are smaller. I dont know the exact diffrence in flow!! Someone should be able to respond with the answer!! I installed a ex pump in my b16 dx and it helped my lean condition. It also depends on the amount of fuel on your current fuel map!!

buy a walbro 255, don't waste your money on a stock fuel pump. They can be had for around 100 bucks shipped, brand new.
