B16 Crank pulley came off and now car won't start
recent swap... has been running great for about a week then today while i was coming to a stop the crank pulley just falls off... i losing P/S and the battery light comes on then when i came to a complete stop... it died and wouldn't start again...
i replaced the pulley already...
what would cause this sudden Fxck up?

most likey the crank pully was not tightened enough i had the same problem on my old mini me z6 i was at a light and my battery light came on so i was like WTF! got to my job and my crank pully was laying there lol. make sure you still have the little key that goes on your crank pully and tighten it really good. did your timming belt slip off too? mine did .

check to make sure that your crankshaft fluctuation sensor didnt get damaged. this is only if you have a 96-00 civic. ( located on the oil pump, behind timing cover) if this sensor doesnt get a signal, then it will not start.

the sensor is behind the lower timing belt coverright near the crankshaft. take the pully off and all the acc. belts( not timing belt) and remove the cover. it will be pretty obvious if the sensor is broken
