yea that 5 was a typo, i had 10 in the other part.. and thats what i meant. I always hondabonded oil pan gaskets with a think film and never had a leak.

FYI, your "scattershield" is actually the windage tray. It helps to scrape the oil off the crank (not physically scraping...it uses airflow), otherwise,

Unceasing Measure
Don't torque the oil pan bolts beyond about 15 ft./lbs. I've never had a problem with leakage due to smearing a thin layer of Hondabond (Grey RTV) along the entire surface, by the way, so I think that's a perfectly safe practice as long as you don't overtighten anything.
OP, you may want to suggest the orientation of the pistons in the bores relative to the cam sprockets, just to make sure no one puts them in backward I could do it, but it's your writeup - and a very nice one at that - so I'll let you continue to be the hero
