Help me guys! Sun roof malfunctioned on Aug 26th and I've been living a nightmare ever since. Dealership that made attempt to fix it did nothing but cause $1500 in other damage to my car! In the process of them trying to repair my sun roof they, for some odd reason, replaced my perfectly fine sun roof glass that had a perfectly good seal with this other sun roof glass and hacked up seal. (which by the way , you cannot just a new seal for these anymore, so this means I have to find a whole new glass piece with a perfect seal already on it....I have no explantion as to what they did with MINE!) It doesn't even 'set' right in the top of the vehicle. I have researched this for an eternity and am wondering 'how' to I tell what year of a car this replaced glass came off of? I have tried to look for specs concerning the actual glass but can't find what I'm looking for. So does anyone out there know what the main difference is as far as the exact measurements/curve of the 92-95 glass versus the 96-2000 yr. glass or even the glass from 2001-2005? My research thusfar has led me to believe they put glass in it from the 96-2000 years. It doesn't look like the original 1995 factory installed glass. My 1995 factory glass was all just one uniform 'smokey' color and the one currently installed in it by the dealership has a different darker tint to the glass and then an even darker strip that is all around the edges of the glass. Anyone know where I can find out for sure? ANY info on this matter would be incredibly appreciated! I'm just SICK over this whole thing!
