Re: (ekb16)
Which one?
LS swaps can be had for $200-700 dollars.
Most b16's run about 2g's. And over-rated at that.
Just piece it together, If you're on a budget I'd do a b18b with a gsr or b16 tranny.
Great daily setup and quick to b00t.

i wouldn't know how much a ls/vtech would cost because i don't even know if they made that phone.
as for your question. realistically, an ls would run you around $700, not including the tranny, axles, shift linkage, mounts.
just search the web, there are tons of distributors that carry a large variety of honda motors.

Re: b16 to b18 swap cost? (93baggedcivic)
It all depends on where U live for costs of motors. I live in vegas and a b16 sells for 5g's where down in San diego that same engine would sell for like 900$ And if you know the right people. It could cost you little to nothing. I just did a LS/Vtec swap in my 97 lx. Me personally got the whole motor for free. b20 block and a b18c1 head. head is fully built also. But for the ls/vtec swap you have to get a conversion kit to run an oil line to the v-tec. Golden eagle sells it for 270$ on top of gettin the block. but in the long run... go with the ls/vtec its better than a b16/18. Hasport sells great motor mounts. shift linkage easy. keep in mind you will also need a new ecu and if you dont already have one, (my civic is a 97 lx like I said no vtec) a v-tec controller. So keep in mind of every little thing you need. Price wise id just fix ur b18 up. Up to you bro.

Re: b16 to b18 swap cost? (Chrono)
^^ That's The most retarded statement I've read today. Who on earth would pay 4-5k for a b16 when hmotors sells them for 2200? I call BS.
No need for a "conversion kit" to wire up vtec. It's similar to a mini-me.
Ls/vtec better than any b18? Maybe than a b18b, but it's probably similar to a b18c1 and DEFINATELY not better than a b18c5.
