Seeing as how the b16 has no torque and lower HP than a b18 everyone and their brother is going to say b18. Now if you plan on turbo just get the b16 and save you some money to build it up as where most of your money will go in just the purchase of the b18 which are better for n/a cause of their higher comp ratio. Think gsr motor has like 10.5-1 compression? Not positive just a thought though.

You're not going to anywhere with this thread. Everyone is going to argue both sides.

B18 has more torque, but less horsepower. But with a shorter geared transmission, you can keep up with stock B16's.

B16 has more power, but less torque, but also has the shorter geared tranny. B18 has the longer geared tranny.

I would say B18 if you want to boost and keep the stock tranny (longer gears).

I would still say B18 if you want to go all motor. Just get a VTEC head and build the **** out of the block and head. You'll put down more torque. Without torque, you don't go anywhere.

get a complete b16 swap and then swap out the block for a LS, GSR, or B20. if you have the extra money build it up with some pistons and some valvetrain and cams
