Re: (tegboy 195)
I have pretty good suspension :
Koni Yellow
Groud Control Race Edt. Coils.
They were set on the stiffest setting.
I really think its the crappy tires

WOW, even with LSD you have terrible 60' times. . . something must be very wrong. Something is VERY wrong, judging by your MPH, its excessively low. I have a del Sol VTEC with stock B16A3, just I/H/E, tein suspension, and got it tuned. 151 whp, 110 wtq and managed 14.8 @ 91mph ( With crappy tires).
BTW My exhaust is 2.25, and here where I live we usually have higher 1/4 mile times because of the weather. -Maybe you should let a friend drive your car at the strip, so you can look at it go and see where it is you're not taking advantage of your WHP and Torque. -
Hope you get to the bottom of this soon man, I wanna see the potential of a B16 with aftermarket IM and larger tb

are you bogging off the line or just spinning? What are you launching it at? Seems to me you need some 205's.. If you can get your 60
s down to 2.2 or even 2.1 your et's will drop dramitically.. 88mph should be good for 15.5 at least, but 14.8's arent gonna happen, on street tires anyways.. I was always able to pull at least 2.25's or so with 205/50/15 of any street tire with my n/a 16a.. good luck!

Ditch the little 1.6 and man up with a K24 or H series. With all the money you dumped into that motor you could of had a H swap and spanked them times you are pulling with that B bone stock

Re: (i drive a honda)
y the hell do u have a 76mm tb??? thats creating crazy turbulence but idk if that would make u run 16's. close ur cutoff and put some real tires on there at least 205's minimum and wat r u coming out the hole at? u should be over 6000 rpms. them 60 foot times r hella bad. ditch the bottom end for an ls or b20 and throw some 205's or 225's on it and learn how to drive. ive seen b16 and gsr hatches running 14.2 14.3's all day stock with i/h/e...

I can't believe I'm the first to say that I think someone's dyno was reading off...way off. I think someone's correction factors were very flattering to your final numbers, because with those mods I can't believe 160whp, and your 1/4 mile times support my theory even more.
When people post and compare peak numbers I try to remind people that dyno peak numbers cannot really be compared. You might make "160whp" on that dyno, and then 150whp on another dyno. Elevation, correction factors, ambient temp, humidity all affect the final number.
The best thing about dyno tuning, and the only numbers you can really trust are the gains on the same dyno, same session. If you baselined "150whp" and ended up with "160whp" then you can trust that you gained 10whp - you just cannot trust that the actual numbers themselves are correct.
I'm not trying to trash you or **** you off - I'm being honest.

very true^^ a b16 hatch though should still be pulling harder than 16's i think some good tires and a driver can put that car into 14's

ok your probablem if the GSR tranny, a stock 1.6 litre is gonna be hella slow with anything but a b16 tranny , that motor simply has a harder time putting through the longer gears.. get a b16 tranny and your improve your time alot

160whp and 105wtq
94 Civic Si Coupe cf trunk & hood, removed a/c, p/s, tar, spare, rear seat.
Mods : B16jdm1st, ctr crank pulley, nrg ground wires, b&m fpr & gauge, adj. gears, megan 4-1 header 2.5" coll, e-cut out, blox im, 76mm tb. Stock cams
I definately agree with B18C5-EH2. I wouldn't put too much bank in your dyno numbers. I definately see them being a little high, but not high enough to warrant you running 16's. My estimate would be closer to 150, maybe below 150 @ the wheels.
You said it yourself. You had shitty tires, that should be one of the first indicators to your times. A stock 99-00 Si (b16 coupe) will run mid 15's. Try some better tires with your current set up and see how it changes.

Re: B16 1/4 mile and dyno.... help (quicksi69)
I had a b16 in my 93 hatch cx (ctr cams, ctr pistons, itr tb, dc 4 to 1 header, greddy sp) never dynoed. Full interior with ac and ran 14.1 and lunching at 2300 and spinning off the line. I was on gsr blades and 195/50 falken ziex.
Had a friend with a b16 in a 94 si hatch (just had ctr cams,skunk2 manifold, itr tb, ctr headers, 2.25 piping with an exhaust) hitting 14.2 and he dynoed the car and made about 160 whp. Then he put the same motor in a 98 integra with a gsr tranny and still ran 15.3 on 15's and 15.7 on 17's. Your lose to much torque with the exhaust, cutout and the tb.

Re: (quicksi69)
this isnt an issue of how much power his car is or isnt making. traction probably has something to do with it, but as he stated, hes rusty at the track, and never claimed to be a good driver to begin with. if the tires are bad, put some new ones on, get a good driver in it, and your power to weight ratio should be good for high to mid 14's.
ps.. im fine with internet shorthand, but no one adds letters...theres only one "N" in the word tune, so i guess theres 2 things you need to learn how to do
