Default b swap shift linkage problem

hey guys i have got a 93 del sol and i am doing a b18b1 swap and here is the problem i have motor, tranny, gsr rear bracket, dc front mounts, and vtec or bseries del sol linkage, the problem is that the linkage is too short and i dont know why i have no problem cutting it and making it longer but i just want to know why it doesnt work everything bolted up just fine when i dropped motor in even the torq bracket on the front are bolted up but the linkage is too short

the linkagage on the tranny is pulled all the way out and the shifter is pulled all the way forward and the linkage is fixing to pull out of the rubber mount that is bolted to the car

The shift linkage that you are using must have came out of an integra. You are either going to have to extend the one you have or, find a Del sol b16 shift linkage which wont be to easy but you can find it.

Well then the guy you bought it from must have got the wrong thing or he got it from someone that told him it was the right linkage because no matter what it should not be that short. If i was you i would just stretch it yourself or buy the right linkage.

On a normal Civic, it's a 4" difference between the DOHC and SOHC engines. I will not guarantee it's the same on a Sol, but you can see.

I suppose you could cut both pieces, tape pieces of a dowel or something and see how long they have to be...
