Default b-swap help

So..... ive got a 92 civic cx that i decided to swap in a b18a1 to first b swap so new to dohc. the guy i bought the motor from said it ran when pulled which i rebuilt the lower end and put in some h beam rods and some supertech low comp pistons since im going with boost im getting fuel air and spark and the timing is correct just checked it for the 4th time......... just went and got a new battery today as well since the old tiny one was about toast from all the cranking. i've made a video to see if anyone has any tips or suggestions as to why it turns over the way it does.

all help is appreciated!

thanks!

I still see the tiny battery. Did you prime the engine to get the oil up to the head? How did verify spark and fuel? Also check your ecu ground by the thermostat housing.

its a full size battery lol i just wedged it in there for now until i get the rest of the stuff for the relocation. and yes i primed it to get oil up to the head! i have a spark tester the one that plugs into the wire and has a screw on the end of it! i checked/ cleaned the ground right before this video as well...... ive been reading countless threads of other b swaps and no starts trying to figure this out for a good 3 months off and on lol im completely stupmed on this one

Just sounds like a weak battery. When you re-installed the distributor was it properly correct?

Compression test? The uneven cranking suggests that you have one or more cylinders that are not like the others.

On a SOHC the spark wires are plugged 180 degrees from how you have them. I don't know if that is true for DOHC though. When you think that cylinder 1 is at TDC, are all the valves closed? Do you trust the mark on the crank pulley? You should probe in the cylinder to confirm the piston is all the way up when the marks say TDC.

Are the sparks strong? Will the engine fire if you disconnect the fuel injectors and put a little gas or starting fluid directly into the intake?
