Default B series transmissions - Hydro vs Cable

I see alot of information everywhere on the board about the B series hydro transmissions and i was wondering if the Cable transmissions have any weakpoints that the hydro transmission don't have ? I have been hearing alot of mixed information from people ... some saying that the only diffrence is the ratios and the clutch operation ... some saying that they are totally diffrent ... from the casing to the guts.... can anybody clear this up ?

I know of one small difference that may or may not bother anyone. The way the pedal feels. A Cable Tranny is very uncomforatble as opposed to a Hydro Tranny.

Hydro is newer so it's probably been through less abuse. I've got a cable S1 in my garage with a big hole in it. I'm going to be switching to hydro just because I'm tired of drag racing with 14 year old transmissions.
