B series transmisions

an associate of mine has asked me if i know anyone who has a del sol VTEC transmision thats doesnt work, as he needs the case. one of his customers case is cracked, and wants to swap internals. i told him any B series transmision is compatiable, and you probably could swap internals into the new case.

my question is was i wrong?

pretty sure the case is the same, but at any rate the B16 cases from the Sol VTEC and 99-00 Si are the same for sure
