B series TB not fitting?

Okay, I have heard B series throttle bodies fit on D series motors. So I sold my buddy a throttle body off a 93' B18A and he told me it doesn't fit his 92' Civic. So is it only certain D series motors that they will fit or something? Because from what I heard all B/H/D series throttle bodies are interchangable. But he said only 3 out of the 4 bolt holes lined up. So what's the deal?

i thought it is interchangable too. are u sure he bolts them in the right way?

100% positive, i have done it. b series throttle bodies WILL fit on a d16y8 and d16z6. i know for a fact they will not fit a d15b7/b8.. not sure about the y7 tho.
