Why you sticking with auto? More power+Auto trans=lame.
If you like going fast, BUT don't know how to drive manual, either:
A) Get a manual
or...
B) Shoot yourself
Either way....I know the auto's use different ecu's, there's 4 plugs instead of 3. Look at tigerjapanese.com, they have auto's for B series swaps. They are cheap too. I think the axle's are the same. Good luck.

Wow, I was thinking of doing the same thing, EXCEPT swap out the automatic transmission for a manual transmission.
I suggest the B-series transmission or a K-series transmission.

The best bet if your going to keep the auto is find a LS auto motor. If you want something like a SI or GSR motor there is alittle more work to get them to match up and work. The biggest thing is the ECU youll have to run a LS ECU auto set and then piggie back it with something from Hondata or AEM that way you can change the shift points.

Re: B series swap in EK civic.(auto)
are the people in here talking about auto trannys kinda slow?
first you can get more than just an ls motor and trans auto.
In japan the b16 came auto, the gsr also came auto, not to mention the b20 came auto and all those motors will fit in the civic with a mount kit.
you can buy a full b16 auto swap for less than 2000 shipped to your door including motor tranny axles wire harness ecu... pretty much everything
so if someone wants to swap thier car and leave it auto there are plenty of options.

nope cant do.
the b series auto tranny will not clear, with out MAJOR frame work, and i dont think it has even been completed once.
yes in other countries, ek's came factory b powerd with autos but they never made it to the states, and the frames are different.
a auto to manual swap would be 50 times cheeper and easier to do.
also there are no mounts avalible for this swap, there would be a lot of custom work just to keep it a auto,

Pics/vids or didn't happen.
In 7 years lurking honda-tech, I've never seen an auto B-swap, and I've never known a honda automatic to reliably hold more than stock horsepower. Not saying it's not possible, just saying that if someone's done it, I'm surprised I've never seen it.
I'd be VERY interested to see a track video, or a timeslip and pictures of the engine/transmission. Hell, I'd like to know how he got around the framerail problem.

Re: B series swap in EK civic.(auto)
I was attempting to do the same , simply because. I didn't want to spend alot of money converting to manual. And my buddy didn't want to convert it. So he convinced me to stay auto when I'm swapping out my d series for a b. but my friend is completely unreliable and in stuck with motor tranny ecu etc. But I haven't figured out what type of mounts will work for this project . Please if you have and insight ,let me know .

Please create your own thread in the Hybrid Engine Swap section. That is the area you should receive the most helpful information for your hybrid setup. Hybrid meaning different engine than stock for that year of car.
