B-series harness help!

B-series harness help!
I have 92 eg that came with a d15b vtec. still trying to swap it for a b16, got a b16 alternator so the harness doesn't fit. I was wondering how hard it would be to put vtec into a b18 non-vtec harness? because so far i found a b18 non-vtec harness and a gsr harness, the gsr one is gonna cost me around twice as much as the non-vtec harness.
any help is appreciated, thanks

Thanks, but i'm still kinda noob with electrical. So obd1 swap, obd1 alternator, obd1 integra harness, should be plug and play right? with the exception of the vtec wires.

Correct. If the civic currently has an EX/Si or VX engine harness yes you can open the loom up and pull out the vtec wiring, depin it at the shock tower plugs and put it into the Integra harness.

You can keep you original harness and just covert ur b16 alternator to work with ur current harness. Itll be alot cheaper and easier. All you do is open the back part of both ur alternator, and the b16 alternator, and switch the plugs.

You can't always switch voltage regulators like that, if they're both Denso alternators yes you can, but if one of them happen's to be a Mitsubishi alternator (most D-series are) you can't.

Re: B-series harness help!
If it's a Denso SOHC alternator you can still do it, actually you can use the voltage regulator out of Denso alternators for completely different vehicles in several cases.

my bad everyone, i was tripping. the harness fits the alt, but not the dizzy. Thanks for the dizzy tech link. So i can just use the sohc vtec harness, depin and convert the jumpers for the dizzy and then add the vtec lines and i should be good right?

Re: B-series harness help!
You can just make a subharness instead of adding the wires into the existing harness. That's what I did on my old 4 door. Ran the wires through the firewall, and just zip tied them to the shock tower brace until I did my swap.
