The World Sport and the Twinloop are the best sounding shelf exhausts. Straight pipe to a OEM muffler will sound terrible.

What are you looking for when you say perfect sound?
does it matter if its too loud to you ?

check out the megan racing M-OE axleback
pretty nice sound and not too loud
this is the route im going with a magnaflow spun cat, ebay piping, and this axleback

Custom 2.5" exhaust with a cat, resonator, and a decent muffler will sound great.

The cars that sound like **** usually have small exhaust piping, no resonator, and no cat.

You'll make more power on 3", but it will be very loud. 2.5" is a good compromise.

How many freaking exhaust posts are we going to get every week?

Seriously, use the search button. This question has been beaten to death.

Indeed.

Not to mention this has NOTHING to do with 92-00 Civics. Locking since this is covered repeatedly.
