Default b-series ek a/c question- yes i searched!

howzit going everyone, so yes, i did do a search, and didn't find any useful information. does anyone know if an integra a/c system will work in an ek with a b16a2 in it? or if any of the parts match up? all i can find on island is an integra a/c system, and summer is comming so God knows i need it. even if most of the parts would fit, id like to score it since the honda dealership will try to rape me. any info would help. thanks for your time!

The short answer is no. You would have to use the Integra's condenser as well which means you need to switch to an Integra radiator and fan setup too. That means you have to weld all custom brackets and mounts for the full length cores that sit one in front of the other. Not worth the trouble.

You can use the stock civic AC system by getting the front-left AC/Engine-mount and AC-belt tensioner from a 97-00 CRV. Has P7J (or PJ7) stamped into it. I'm using one of these in my 94 Civic with a B18C swap.

Does your car already have a/c? If so, you just need a del sol vtec (b16), or any 1997-01 crv compressor bracket, and it will mount the stock d series compressor to a b series block.

If you are looking to add a/c to your car, that has never had it....just hit up the junk yard and find any 96-00 civic with a/c and take out the system..plus the bracket i mentioned above

What about the Si? The 1999/2000 Si had the B16 and I think it had AC.
I believe the 1996-00 used a different AC compressor than the 1992-95.

Either the Si was different or there would be something there you could use to make it fit.

if you have the whole setup ill pick it up!

the car never had a/c, atleast i don't have any of the parts for it, it has the a/c button on the console, thats it. the fan isn't even blowing, hah. soo it sounds like that is not going to work.

my best bet would be to find an intire a/c system for the ek and all i should need after that is the b-series a/c bracket?

i'm sorry for the dumb questions, i've never ventured into a/c with a swap before, i've always just ditched it. i'm too old to be sweating my *** off though driving around, and plus the g/f is mad i picked up a hatch without it. almost as mad as she is about it not going into reverse! stupid me buying cars after 20 hr's of work and not fully testing it.

that compressor has nothing to do with overcharging your system. an em1 comes with the same compressor as an integra.

i just did something similar.

i have a 96 dx hatch with oem a/c, i removed the d16y7 and left the ac all hooked up and never opened the system. I used a P30 jdm b16a compressor bracket and my d16 compressor bolted right up no problems.
