Default B-series direct bolt in to the EK body?

When I get my EK I will probably swap out the SOHC engine for something a little less slow. I was thinking a B20 would be a cheap effective way to make it a decent car power wise. I did a search but couldn't find exactly what I want to know. It seems to me if you used 99-00 Si mounts and linkage and stuff you can bolt a B-series into any of the other EKs. Is this correct? Anyone with B20 swaps care to tell me how you like it? All the wiring should just plug in right since its all OBD-II?

6th gen swap guide: http://www.phear7imports.net/subs/btroop/trey/6gen

as far as mounts go you'll need:
99-00 Si Rear Tranny Mount bracket: 50827-s04-n10
99-00 Si Driver Side mount bracket: 11910-p30-000
and the 2 front lower brackets on the B series engine & tranny.
you can reuse all other mounts and harware on your car.
B series shiftlinkage, axles, ecu

as far as wiring, the easiest way is to get a 96-00 ex coupe harness and rework a few wires on that. everything you need to know is in that link, and in the archives here.

Yes.

But wiring changes from the 96-98, and 99-00 model years. Not a big deal though, just use a wire harness from the original engine, or at least one from the same model year of your car.

Well when I did my ZC swap I had to convert from DPFI > MPFI injection so if I can do that than changing a wire or two on the EK is nothing.

Hey also for a B20 do you need to switch to B18 intake manifolds or anything? I heard you do on some Civics because the B20 has a manifold that might hit the fire wall on some cars?

The stock B20 intake manifold is too high, therefore your hood won't be able to close. So yes you need to switch to an LS IM if you're not going B20vtec.
