I have an auto civic and i was just readin about the B&M auto tranny cooler. How hard is it to put in and how would i go about doin it? Also i wasn't sure if i needed it cuz right now i just have an intake and cat-back and soon to be a header but someone told me thats its good to have anyway cuz it never bad to lower the temp on the tranny. I saw the guys a horsepower tv talkin about it to sayin that every 20 degrees you lower your tranny temp extends the life of it by 50%. Can anyone tell me about this?

you can add them i guess.. but ur bolt ons dont add the enough strain to require cooling.. if you spray or boost then thats a diff story.

waste of money.. what will it really do for ur car?.. wont notice nothing..my opinion.. i would rather buy a new used tranny when mines go out. come on, how fast does ur tranny really go out unless u gring gears all the time.

If you're concerned, spend the $40 and buy the tranny cooler. I put one on my 99 Accord Coupe EX V6.

If you need instructions, do a search. If you don't find anything on honda-tech, try google. If you don't find anything, or don't feel comfortable doing it, go have one installed at U-Haul.
