I installed this in my hatch today and i know that you can change the position of neutral by rotating this. Have any of you guys used this before? How did you position it? Thanks...

how the hell does that work? i know where it goes and everything but how would that fit on the tranny?

haha....dood those two pieces and the metal sleeve go on the acutal linkage right off the tranny. if u look at ur stock piece its rubber and comes off easily with a twist from a wrench. they do not go on the shifter.

haha.. doode.. i know that by the installation, i wasnt asking where it goes, i was asking if anyone has used this before and how they positioned it.

what do u mean by positionin it? it shouldnt make ur shifter adjustable... it only sits one direction. on my old coupe, it just sat one way, just like stock.

see that there is 2 holes? one holds them together with an allen screw and the other hole isnt in the middle, so you can rotate it and the position of your shifter will sit more foward, stock position or more back depending on how you position it.

I dont know what purpose that would serve tho, The linkage is set to an EXACT length because the shifter only moves the linkage maybe an inch or two depending on how your shifting so changing that ever so slightly i think would thro off your shifting all toghter making it very difficult to shift if at all in some cases depending on the gear. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif

ok here it is...
The B&M shift stabilizer system allows the neutral stick position to be adjusted so the driver can determine the ultimate position of the stick.

oh ok, make sense now, i have used the neuspeed and the es ones so these r new to me, didnt know they allow for some adjustment. i would say have it sit so that the shifter leans back towards u.

OK...MAYBE i can help (I have the same exact kit)

What you do is bolt everything up like if you were done and were gonna drive away. Dont tighten the allen key on the stabilizer just yet- keep it kinda loose....

Have a buddy or even just yourself check out how the neutral position is of the shifter from the drivers seat. If you dont like the position move the stabilizer fore or aft accordingly until you get the desired neutral position.

The car will have to be jacked up and there will be alot of getting up and getting under the car...but the end result is worth it.

Just dont miss a shift and grind gears since its a straight metal bushing...kinda buzz's yur hand there. LOL.

ALso, use the back billet piece at your own discretion...it made my shifter hardcore stiff but also buzzed when i decelerated...it really doesnt do ne thing useful ne way, but hey that was my car.

The reason why i can tell you an exact degree or position to make the staibilizer is because different people like different neutral positions. So there you go! have fun with your new clicky shifter. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Hmmm...i stared at the picture a lil more and it seems B&M replaced the back bushing to a poly material. Welp, just ferget about the billet thing then.

PS: Im also wondering where you got this kit? i always thoght they didnt make the billet bushings ne more...weird.

I originally was going to put ES bushings but my dad's friend said he had a B&M piece that I could have since he didnt use it, so I used the back ES bushing and the front B&M piece. How much did the B&M set cost?

Just remember that if you adjust the bolt cneter, either up or down it should be in the same position as stock since the stock position is dead center of the bushing. if you set it closer to the tranny then your shifter will be closer to you in neutral, its adjusted away from the tranny then your shifter position in neutral will be farther from you. either way you are moving the shifter the same distance.
