Default B&M FPR question - Help identify the spring!!!!

Hey guys, I have a B&M FPR and I switched out my oem fpr because my fuel pressure wasn't holding well.
The thing is I donno which spring to put in now, Im 90% sure it's the gold on and the stock one is the black one but I just wanna make sure.
Which one is which? If the gold (shorter) one the B&M or the black one?

Also, after I reinstalled everything I cannot regulate the pressure.... so i switched back to the original OEM fpr and again the pressure doesnt want to change.
I then thought maybe I put the wrong spring in...

Thanks.

the B&M spring is gold.... and when u adjust it, make sure ur adjusting the gold spout thing, not the silver nut, thats for tightening it. and how do u switch back if u cut the OEM one?

what should stock fuel pressure read out to be on a b18a1?? I have the gauge, and it reads about 37 or so at idle? should it change much or will it always sit at that fuel pressure setting when the car is on?
thanks for the help.
