b/7z6 help. wont start after head swap
so i picked up a d15b7 ej1 blew the head gasket. so while fixing that i figured i would throw a milled z6 head on there i had. after i get it on there it will crank but wont start. iv redone my timing 7 times, everytime it appears to be right. but im not 100% whats the dot on my water pump is for. do i need to use the z6 water pump or something,
i just bought a brand new z6 dizzy so im sure its not that. im getting spark from my sparkplug wires. it just wont fire. and im pretty sure i have fuel also. i check the fuel pressure. any tips and hints as to what i could be doing wrong? its almost like theres no compression. but the car still had plenty of compression w/ a bad HG. im stumped guys. any questions you have that might help you figure out some things i could try will be answered right away. |

are you using the stock p06 ecu still, it will never run with a z6 head/dizzy, need a p28 ecu. also, what timing belt are you using.

Are the plug wires re-installed in the correct firing order?
