Default Axle question

Hi!

If you raise the cars front and spin the wheels, how should axles behave??? Should they spin straight WITHOUT ANY UP-DOWN MOVEMENTS, or there MAY BE some up-down play...

If I spin my wheels, and watch the axle spin I can see it goes up and down a bit... does it mean the axle is BENT or is it normal...

I have no other problems... I have no vibrating issues... The car accelerates smoothly and decelerates smoothly...

Thanx!

Alright mine stays straight.. but if your is going down the road with no vibration and accerating smoothly then it might just be a factory defect not really warpage? If it makes you feel any better my steering column is crooked

Stays straight??? Not even 0.5 inch movement???

Mine has this slight up-down play but I have no problems when I accelerate/decelarate... no vibration, no nothing!!!

It's very strange...

up and down is normal. once you raise your car up, the suspension will hang a little this cause the axle to go up and down a bit near the spindle side.

FIEWWWWWWWWWW

Thanx man... I breathe easier now and I think I am finally going to SLEEP cos last few nights, it bothered so much I couldn't sleep...

I thought my axles are bent and that is NOT VERY GOOD CHOICE cos here where I live axles are VERY EXPENSIVE...

2 days ago I called a guy who has a Honda-junkyard and he quoted 400$ for used axles... OK, axles are complete with CV joints and CV boots but THEY ARE USED and CANNOT COST 400$...

Honda dealership quoted 420$ for the right axle and 450$ for the left axle... all together 870$ for 2 axles... for that kind of money I can buy a whole CAR!!!

Yeah... we don't have stores like that at all...

I found "GKN" axles that are also OEM Honda (Majestic Honda sells them as OEM)...

I found a GKN delarship and they gave me the price...

Are you sitting securely???

TADAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

840$ for the left axle and 800$ for the right one

That's 1640$ FOR AXLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
