Default Axle play on my EK

lots of weird sounds coming from the engine when i either break or go, or roll over bumps. i read all of the weird noise posts, and tightened bolts and greased up everything i could think of. fixed a lot of the problems, but i want to know...

when under the car, i can grab the axle and jiggle it back and forth just slightly (moving back and forth, from wheel to trans) i dont think there is supposed to be ANY play in that, could that be the noise i keep hearing?

(if so, FAK HUE les schwab)
