yes it's called the knuckle (right or left), not the brake knuckle.

It's "technically" called a spindle nut. Depending on what car you have, which wasn't listed in the original post, the nut is usually around 30mm. I must say, trying different size sockets on the nut is probably easier than posting on the forum. Good luck on whatever you are doing.

I got about a 5 foot peice of square tubing I use... put the 32 mm axel nut (You can rent them from Autozone), Leave the wheels on the and jump one time on the bar

Ah, when I take it off, I just have someone hold down the brakes really hard and start turning. I usually ignore the dent thingy, it's a pain just to get it undented so I just force around it.

LOL @ "dent thingy" it's called a stake.
The axle/spindle nut is 32mm, I am 1 million % sure of this, I just did the rear brakes on my EJ6 an hour ago.

thz for the replies guyz, reason i'm asking is because the biggest socket i have is 19mm so i wanted to know which size to buy.
someone mention i can rent it from autozone??? is that for reals? that would save me another 10 bucks
