Default Axle length

Need help, I swapped in a ZC sohc vtec engine with a si/ex trans (92-95) in my 92 hatch. I reused the axles from the CX but it seems they are too short, is this normal? Should I just get si/ex axles?

Why do they seem too short? Do you have to pull on the joints to make them "fit"? Maybe a pic or two would help.

Quit being such a damn *****, grab those axles by the haunches and hump them into submission.

Get the skyhook and the axle stretcher, its the big yellow hook with chains attatched behind the seat in the van.

Damn skyhook, what a jerk!

They sit back inside the hub, I cant even get the axle nut to them since the threaded part is all the way in. I don't wanna pull on it because I don't want to buy another one if it pops out. I'll get pictures in the morning.

Is it just barely too far in to get threads on the nut? If so, shoot some spray lube on the splines and pull/push it through. Doesn't sound too serious.

Is there any reason they shouldn't fit? They are not OEM but from Advance Auto Parts, they fit in my CX so I see no reason they wouldn't. This just makes me mad, the motor runs great as far as I can tell and I can't even drive it
