Default Axle help Please!!!!! gsr civic

Hey having problems with my axles. Please advise

Car:98 civic ex 2 door

Motor: Jdm gsr (B18C) Trans- S80 w/lsd/unsure about the Halfshaft I would assume its the stock jdm one.

Ok problem is axles go in fine but the boots are streched. This makes me think they are a tad to short. axles spew grease from boots everywhere when driving. I was told I could use just about any b-series axle. I went to autozone and got the 96 usdm gsr axles. I was told the jdm halfshaft could be my issuse but its both sides im seeing these issuses from. Please whats going on and what can I look for??

WHAT THE **** IS GOING ON?? IM STUMPPED!!!!

What motor mounts do you have? If the engine is not "leveled" with the correct mounts, it will cause the axles to tilt more than it should.

I mentioned mounts because some people who do auto---> manual conversions tend to use the old transmission mount and the axles are binding because the motor is tilted. The halfshaft is only connected to the driver axle and the passenger axle is bolted/connected straight into the tranny and wheel hub. Double check to see if something is out of line. That's rather odd.

'96 - '00 use the same mount placement for auto and manual (except the CVT HX) unlike the '92 - '95 Civic/'94 - '01 Integra where this is an issue.

OP try buying axles from someplace other than autozone, you'd be far from the first person to have issues with them. I know for the D-series I use a lot of Fenco axles and I haven't had any vibration or fitment issues with them yet. (Fenco also makes awesome CV boots too btw, excellent fitment)
