Default axle help for civic

I have a 1993 honda civic that i'm putting in new axles. it's b18a1 putting in the new car i tried puttting the axles in today the drivers went in without a problem but the passengar side went in but its not completely tight with the transmission. drivers side is tight so should the passengar side be the same or could it be the wrong one, anyone with any information would be a big help. thank u

man. I had this EXACT same problem lol with JDM B18b. Driver went into transaxle no problem. trranny side, it goes in half way then gets stuck and splines don't even meet up. I looked at the splines, shaped like canine teeth ( causing too much friction to go in), while old one slipped and clipped in like budder ( splines flat down ). Anyway, went back to partsource, replaced it and new one had splines that looked more similar to my old axle and it went in like butter. If it doesn't go in, it's defective. These things are manufactured crudely sometimes. Unless, it does keep going in, put AN OLD cv nut on the hub side, and lightly hit it with a hammer as you're holding it straight. If it budges, keep going, if not don't and take it out. Also try grease or tranny oil on the splines.

Sometimes that little c-clip on the end of the splines doesn't want to line up right and can be a pain in the ***, one way to make sure your OK axle is to take it off, if the axle goes in good then you should be OK just make sure to reinstall the clip or your axle may slip out of your trans... If the clip is your problem try compressing it a little more around the axle... If the axle won't slide in with minimal force than you have the wrong axle...

just replace it, if it doesn't fit correctly, with that being said the old one goes in perfect, return it. It was probably crudely made and defective. Do the splines come together or does it not reach there before it doesn't go in any further?
