axle breaking?
I might pick up an eg tomrow from a freind as a summer project car. i have never owned a civic and was considering an h22 swap cause I can get labor for free. Maybe question is though that I will be using this car quite often. Im worried about the axles breaking. Sometold me to watch out for this especially since h22 has lots of torque and that the axles arent the same length? What are your thoughts?

CV joints break when they are placed out of their OEM alignment and spec. When you lower a car or the axle placement is different when using a different engine/transmission, you risk the chance of tearing the boot and/or the CV joint failing.

Is that cause when the suspension travels up and down the axle wants to move through a different arc that is larger and is instead being pushed in? Can stock axles telescope at all? And what did you mean placed out of spec?

Re: (EgGriff)
do the b-series transmission on H-series motor swap. axles are straighter then with an H-series tranny and you get to keep the linkage shift and use b-series engine mounts, and oem b-series axles

thats exactly what I was gonna say, buy axles made for the swap using a prelude intermediate shaft, and roll out.
I tried integra axles w/ accord int. shaft, got about 400 miles out of them, not cause the twenty2 was too powerfull and snapped em, but cause they weren't long enough and after so many turns the cv joint binded its self out.
