Avon Tech M500 Tires?
 

At first glance I was thinking, "Avon Tech ... never heard of those tires before, they must suck."

As I clicked onto "test results" of the Yokohama AVS-ES100 tire on TireRack, they had a comparo of it vs. the Avon!

I'm quite surprised at the results!

Looks like it slightly edges out the Yok's in almost every test, with the exception of being clearly better in the wet. I haven't talked to anyone who's had them on a Honda though.

Anyone have any personal experience?

My wife had some Avon Star Performers on her Corolla. That was all she had on the car. On the auto-x course I could beat my time in my [then] stock civic with her 2000 Corolla on star performers. Oh yeah, the Corolla was auto. You KNOW that's slow. I noticed a huge difference immediately. They felt very sticky and responsive...almost more so than my current tires (see sig).
