Re: (quicksilver1689)
Since the topic has been brought up, what rpm's is everyone with a GSR tranny hitting at 55mph? Ive got a GSR tranny on my LS motor in my hatch. My speedometer says im at 3,000 at 55mph. I just want to find out if my speedo might be off by like 5mph.

i know its newer but i have
2002 civic ex 5spd redline at 6750rpm
70mph 5thgear 3100rpm
85mph 5thgear 4000rpm
is it ok to run in the 4000 range for extended periods, especially on turnpikes?

This would be because of no 5th gear lol. You guys are crying about 3k, and I'm the one that should be complaining.

Re: average rpm's at 60-70mph
all i got to say is get a new tranny!! lol nah if anyone have to rev 3-4k just to go 60-70 is super gay. I thought our EM1 suppose to have good mileage 31 mpg on freeway. i dont see how that is possible...

Re: average rpm's at 60-70mph
its normal. I still dont understand why honda built the b16a2 transmission for the civic si with the 5th still having to rev high... I mean it makes since for the 1st- 4th gears to be short being that the motor makes power off the top end but for 5th as well?
