Re: AutoZone Dual Core radiator!! (tobe1424)
have you tried the junkyard, always a good place to look if your in a rush. Dual cores are made for auto cars I believe. Mine came with one because it was auto, then i stuck in a manual motor and tranny and it didn't have the same automatic tranny hoses so I plugged it and used it as a thicker radiator.

ebay has dual core ones for cheap, but i believe the autozone one is P/N 432352 from a 95 Del Sol Dohc Vtec $98.99

How do you conclude that the dual cores are made for auto cars only? Did the GSR come auto? Did the Type-R come auto? or the Si? get your facts strait. Do not assume!

The dual core Del Sol radiator will not fit an auto because the car was ONLY offered in manual. Maybe an aftermarket company has made one dual core work with autos, but the OEM rad will not fit an auto.

If you pick up the dual core from autozone or ebay it comes with AT fluid cooler ports at the bottom - thats the only reason why its considered "for autos"
you dont have to use these ports nor do you even have to cap them
before you ask, no you cannot use them as an oil cooler for the engine

not if its aluminum. You can always plug the holes...

whichever is cheaper...copper has better cooling capabilities, but aluminum offers a bling factor as well as great cooling.

I think it's the same rad man.
B/c the manual rads have the nipples on the bottom for the transmissions go/return lines IF it was an automatic but aren't in use on a manual.
Though I could be wrong.
@ OP:
If it was me I'd go with an autozone rad, just b/c I don't care much. It'll work fine.

Re: (KimChiKid)
double-thickness SINGLE core FTW
Many of the ebay Del Sol radiators for automatics use a single core thats 2x as thick/deep as a typical double-core rad. The fins are also use more metal to keep from ballooning out, esp at the front/read. I had a slimline fan pushed into my rad in an accident - despite being worn by the blades and bent in the center (think of a contact lense shape), it had zero leaks.

Does your store stock civic radiators, because you can't use the 20% discount on VDP's unless it's a special holiday. Then you only get 10% off.
