Default autometer air/fuel gauge??

car: 92 eg6 w/ ls swap.

alright instead of hooking the air/fuel gauge violet wire straight to the o2 i figure i just do it to the ecu for a cleaner look. i did some research and was sure that the plug was d14. hooked it up and nothing, the gauge comes on but does not read. could it be i tapped into the wrong wire or bad o2 sensor possibbly?

other info: 4 wire o2
also there was a wire connecting the d14 and a26 wire. is that suppose to be there?

Just hook it up to the O2 sensor. It also takes a while for the o2 sensor to heat up and send a signal to the ECU.

cx model

i want to make the job look cleaner thats why i want to hook it up to where the ecu is instead of having a single wire hanging in the engine bay.

Unless you have a wideband in there all you're going to get is a fancy lightshow.

im running a 4-wire o2. it was working fine when i had a b16 swap. i had to then pull the b16 because i was referred to the state ref, so i decided to throw inn an LS swap so i could get it barred to the car. anyways... when i failed the first time the ref hit me for modified o2 sensor because i had the signal wire from the gauge going to the o2. thats whly i figured it will look much cleaner and the ref wont be able so say anything when i bring it back.
