no but you will need to get a good tune up chip your ecu to you turbo'd spec's

One thing I can say as a FACT...
It will be significantly slower than a 5spd with the same mods, but I doubt that's news to you. And with the low prices you can obtain d series transmissions for, if you plan on sinking serious cash into your motor...you should treat yourself, do the auto to manual swap, and get the most you can out of it, wouldn't you agree?
Also, the torque converter is not good for much "extra" horsepower, but you probably knew that too. Neither of the things I said are my theories or anything....its definite truth.
Good luck, if you decide to go through with this. Search around as it has been covered and a few people HAVE done it...see what they said about it.

ok.... my friends 4 door 98 civic w/ a ebay set-up log -cast manifold T3 .43/.60 she went 14.00 at 10psi w/ a good tune it was auto not bad has been running fine with this set-up for almost 2 years
